Terms of Service

Welcome to Tutor AI SAT (“the Service”), an AI-powered SAT preparation platform operated by Pii Mobile Limited (New Zealand). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or legal guardian consent to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Account Registration & Security

You may register using email/password, Google OAuth, or Apple OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including accounts created through unauthorized means (e.g., bots, automated scripts).

3. Free Tier & Premium Subscription

3.1 Free Tier

The Free tier provides limited access to the Service, including up to 50 practice questions per day and basic diagnostics. We reserve the right to modify the Free tier offerings at any time.

3.2 Premium Subscription

Premium features are available on a recurring subscription basis at the rate displayed at the time of purchase ($8/week as of the Last Updated date). Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

• Auto-Renewal — Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• Cancellation — You may cancel at any time from your account settings. You will continue to have access to Premium features until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you experience technical issues, please contact support.
• Price Changes — We may change subscription prices with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or allow others to access the Service using your account
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service, generate answers, or scrape content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass our AI systems or question selection algorithms
• Submit malicious content, attempts to exploit vulnerabilities, or engage in any activity that could harm the platform
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Impersonate another person or entity

5. AI-Generated Content

Our AI Tutor generates explanations, hints, and practice questions using machine learning models. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You should not rely solely on AI-generated explanations for critical academic decisions.

We use Anthropic’s Claude API (via Google Vertex AI) to power our AI Tutor. Your conversations may be processed by these third-party AI providers solely for the purpose of generating responses. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

6. Intellectual Property

All content provided through the Service, including practice questions, scoring algorithms, brand assets, and software, is owned by Pii Mobile Limited or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (e.g., notes, responses). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

Tutor AI SAT provides test preparation tools and does not guarantee specific SAT scores, college admissions outcomes, or academic results. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pii Mobile Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of service.

8. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service with reasonable notice.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. You may delete your account at any time from your settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our platform. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
